Endmyopia Journey Blog - Part 4 First distance glasses

I just ordered the first distance glasses. After some consideration and measurements I decided to go 0,5 diopter lower than what I have now. Maybe that is going to be too much blur and I will have to go just 0,25 lower, but I have the feeling I am already a bit overcorrected as I see super sharp with my glasses even when it is a bit dark. I can always get just 0,25 lower and keep the 0,5 lower for later if there is no improvement in three months. I had to start somewhere. :)

I ordered the glasses online and received message that my order is not being processed and they are going to contact me about what we do further. I though the frames are already sold out, but the problem was my prescription. They thought I made a mistake in the order, because the prescription was different than my first prescription (the close up glasses). So I explained those were for screen and these are for distance so it is ok. Next time when I am ordering the 0,25 difference up or down I will have to mention my experiment. :)

    Ušobot: Dear Lulu, the glasses you ordered most recently have 1.0 diopters less than your first order (for screen) and 0.5 diopters less than your second order (for distance). Please explain.
    Lulu: I want to read a particular book ("Eat sugarfree with more carrots" by Guy), but the nearest library which has that book is in the Andromeda galaxy and the expected physical delivery would be in the 56th century CE.
    Ušobot: Leg-pulling detected: Viewing the book directly would take at least 5 million years (distance between Andromeda and your nose is currently about 2.5 ly, so to order the book takes at least 2.5 y and to get a view of it 2.5 y more). Please state another reason.
    Lulu: Too many dioptries distort the beauty in Ušomic pictures.

How it started  I went to the optometrist, because my lenses were scratched and I needed to replace them. After the usual check up I was told that I need more correction in my left eye. I was not too concerned about that as it was a long time since I needed more correction. But the optometrist also said that I have astigmatismus in the right eye that can't be fixed by an astigmatism correction as in by adding cylinder correction. This was interesting and I started googling for "astigmatism eye yoga" and "exercises to fix astigmatism" to find out if there are other options if cylinder correction can't fix it. This is how I ended up on the Endmyopia website and discovered there are people that reduced their myopia or completely got rid of it with the Endmyopia method. Books I found I was already pretty convinced I will give it a try, but I anyway started to look around for other sources. I found these three books in the local library and checked what they are...

Endmyopia Journey Blog - Part 2 The First Close Up Glasses

My first close up glasses arrived and I started testing them for screen use and book reading. I am moving my screen a lot to find the edge of the blur, because it is changing during the day. After a month or 6 weeks I should get the first reduced glasses for distance. For now I am trying to work on active focus and on eliminating  eye strain . I also couldn't resist to compile this collage of all the frames I had during the years. I noticed that my new frames are a bit similar to my very first frames. :) To be continued...
